Connecting People aims to create a dialogue between technology and nature.

Nature in this case is represented by the sea, one that is all too familiar to the people of  Yucatan. Using a television and a projector, Indra Ordaz depicts a video of the ocean and projects photos of people enjoying the beach on the wall. 

The installation recreates the environment of the beach by incorporating sand, sea shells and other physical manifestations of the beach. Ordaz attempts to introduce the sea, a representation of nature, into new spaces and demonstrates through the installation that technology can only serves as a method to capture these encounters but cannot make up for the physicality and beauty of nature.
